I have to confess that as a kid growing up I loved watching McDonald’s classic “McDonaldland” commercials during Saturday morning cartoons so I couldn’t help but feel a little nostalgia reading this history of McDonald’s cult-like advertising.
Oh, sure the article is supposed to demonstrate just how evil the golden arches’ marketing of their waistline-busting, artery-clogging junk food offerings are, but personally I just enjoyed seeing all of those old commercials again. Anyone remember those adorable little French Fry, Soft Drink and Chicken McNugget puppets they used to have in those spots?
It’s entirely possible that I’m part of the problem and not the solution on this one.
