Kiss and Cry: A Finger Ballet

By April 10, 2012 September 8th, 2014 No Comments

Kiss and Cry is a new multimedia dance production directed by renowned Belgian filmmaker Jaco van Dormael. The show is a “miniature ballet” performed on a table top surface by the hands of two dancers, one of whom is Jaco’s wife, Belgian dancer and choreographer Michèle Anne De Mey. The entire performance is filmed live and projected on to a large screen, which allows the audience to watch both the “film” and the making of it.

The show has been a huge success on tour in Belgium and will be playing in Montreal on April 25th before touring Asia. You can learn more about Kiss and Cry and get a glimpse behind the scenes in this video from Euronews.
