Sweet Jennys’ TV Commercial

At Puppet (r)Evolution last week I had the pleasure of meeting literally hundreds of puppeteers from across America, one of which was Cameron Garrity, a talented puppeteer who’s a recent graduate of  Daemen College in Buffalo, New York.

One day over lunch Cameron gave me a peek at a great local TV spot he had recently worked on for an ice cream and candy shop. The commercial – for Sweet Jenny’s in Williamsville, New York – was released online today and as you can see, it’s features some nice work.

Have a look behind the scenes at the making of the ad:

…and a look at how the commercial progressed from story reel to rough cut and then the final edit:

The puppet that appears in the ad was designed and built by Adam Kreutinger, who also performed him with Cameron (additional puppetry assistance on the shoot was supplied by Zach Haumesser and Matthew Krygier).
