Germany’s renowned Düsseldorf Marionette Theater is among the latest companies to participate in this trend, recently premiering a recording of their production of Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) on YouTube. It’s a rare opportunity for audiences everywhere to see an elaborate traditional European marionette performance, and includes a brief look behind-the-scenes at the inner workings of theatre.
