The year 2020 was a difficult year of transition and change. Like artists everywhere, puppeteers and puppetry companies in the United Kingdom were hard hit by the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic, lock down and the loss of paying audiences for much of the year. Despite the challenges and setbacks, it was another year of surprising and impressive puppetry on both stage and screen.

As 2021 draws to a close, this video produced by the Puppet Centre Trust showcases the wide variety of UK puppetry productions performed, viewed and created in 2020.
