Today is World Puppetry Day!
The goal of World Puppetry Day is to celebrate the history and evolution of puppetry from around the world. To mark the occasion this year, the world puppetry organization UNIMA (Union Internationale de la Marionette) has released a video compilation featuring clips created by puppetry artists around the globe. The theme chosen for this year’s video was “The Call of the Forest” to celebrate forests and wildlife, and the impact of humanity’s relationship with nature. Submissions were created by amateur and professional puppeteers alike, representing almost every style of puppetry imaginable.
