Shadow Ace shines on America’s Got Talent

By May 31, 2023 No Comments

The newest season of America’s Got Talent (see previous posts) began this week, and AGT fans already have a favourite – Shadow Ace.

Shadow Ace is a Filipino shadow artist named Philip Galit. Philip began performing hand shadows as a child as a way to entertain his family without electricity. After a series of unsuccessful auditions, he finally gained attention on the fifth season of Pilipinas Got Talent. From there, he went on to earn a Golden Buzzer on the 2019 season of Asia’s Got Talent, ultimately finishing fourth in the show’s final round.

Now his “Got Talent” success has taken him all the way to America:

However, far from being “undiscovered”, Shadow Ace already has millions of followers on TikTok and Instagram thanks to popular viral videos like these:

The series airs on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. Central Time) on NBC, and CityTV in Canada.
